An Interesting take on School Uniforms
At a Student Representative Council meeting in 2003, two suggestions were made by separate year 6 students.
That girls should be able to wear skirts
That the school uniform should include a collared, light blue shirt and that school ties should be worn
The issue of wearing a collar and tie was carried 28 to 2. Do children really want to wear a collar and tie?
Class votes were: Yes for ties in Winter No ties

Is there a swing back to the different standards of a traditional uniform of the past? Is there a novelty factor to the children’s voting?
